Dye Migration Customer-Supplied Garments
Dye Migration Disclaimer for Customer-Supplied Garments
At Twisted Swag, Inc., we take great care in handling and printing on all garments. However, when printing on customer-supplied items, especially polyester, blended, or sublimated fabrics, there are certain risks outside of our control—one of which is dye migration.
What is Dye Migration?
Dye migration occurs when the dyes in the fabric bleed into the ink during or after the curing process. This often results in discoloration of the printed design, typically seen as a pink or off-color hue in lighter inks, especially white.
Garments at Higher Risk:
-
100% polyester or polyester blends
-
Dark or richly dyed fabrics
-
Sublimated or heat-reactive garments
-
Performance or athletic wear
Important Notes:
-
Twisted Swag is not responsible for dye migration or discoloration that may occur when printing on customer-supplied garments.
-
While we use industry-standard inks and curing practices, we cannot guarantee the final print results due to unknown factors in the garment’s dye chemistry or previous treatments.
-
No refunds or reprints will be issued for issues related to dye migration on customer-provided apparel.
Recommendations:
If you are unsure about the suitability of a garment for printing, we strongly suggest testing one piece first. We’re happy to perform a test print at your request.
By submitting garments for print, you acknowledge and accept the risks outlined above.
